Employee Spotlight: Elizabeth Magana

In the three years that Elizabeth Magana has been employed at Evans, her role has progressively evolved, and so has she. She’s moved from an administrative role, to training logistics coordinators. And now, she teaches dispatchers the front-end requirements necessary to improve scorecards, such as with FCA and Ford. She works closely with Todd and Tony in implementing new processes, and has proven herself willing to take on a multitude of challenges. Elizabeth says she will never shy away from taking on more responsibility.
Elizabeth says, “Evans [has given] me the opportunity to mature, personally and professionally.” She likes that she finds her daily requirements fulfilling—to know that she and the team are making a significant difference in the company. Elizabeth has found that diagnosing the scorecard and sylectus communication has given her a special appreciation of her role. She’s also been able to see a wide spectrum of the company in having held multiple positions at Evans—in Value-Added, Sales/Accounting, and Transportation—and has learned a great deal about the vast services that Evans provides.
Management has found Elizabeth to be a breath of fresh air in her department. She’s never denied an opportunity to learn more about the company’s operation and customer objectives. She’s proven herself as an individual that is more than willing to provide instruction and information to better others, and will always take on new tasks in her role. “Elizabeth is an unselfish individual that is genuinely concerned for others and the company,” adds Todd Shattuck.
Where will Elizabeth be in 5 years? She hopes to continue to grow and help others in her role. Having had the opportunity to train others has given her the opportunity to move down a new professional path. Elizabeth hopes to continue to grow, and possibly in the future, move into a role with more management prospects. Her goals are to continue to make a significant difference in the company, in providing effective training for others, helping to create new processes, and making a significant difference in doing so.
Evans is proud to support an employee that has proven herself more than willing to not only take on new roles and tasks, but also work with others to help them become more fulfilled professionally. We look forward to seeing Elizabeth grow professionally, and anticipate great work from her in the future.
