Steve Dossin has been at Evans for 9 years as of September. While Steve is a transportation driver here at Evans Distribution, he’s also well-known as an “anything needs done kind of guy”—a Jack-of-all-trades.
Whenever Transportation is in a pinch, in needing trailers moved or routes covered, the person that comes to mind is Steve Dossin. Management has praised Steve’s ability to jump in and fulfill the week’s requirements, and more—“what most don’t understand is how instrumental Steve is over the weekend in setting up the next week’s work requirements,” says Todd Shattuck. Everyone in the Transportation department is thankful to have someone like Steve to rely on.
“Steve always gives 110% when it comes to work and is definitely the go-to guy for the entire company, whether it’s for warehousing or transportation,” says Michael Rea. Management also notes that Steve mentors younger drivers, and is very dedicated and professional in working with customers. When it comes to switching inbounds to unload at the Romulus location, Steve made sure the yard was cleaned up from empties and other Alden trailers that are stored there—a big help, making the job easier for the Romulus team.
About Evans, Steve says “everyone is understanding and patient,” and with his daily duties, there’s never any added stress or pressure. He enjoys the people he works for on a daily basis. Steve’s also a musician, having played the drums for over 30 years. He’s only recently stopped playing gigs, due to the demand of setting up and tearing down equipment.
Steve has proven to be a tremendous help at multiple locations, and always gives 110% as the “go-to guy” for various areas in the company. Evans is proud to have an employee like Steve on our team, and looks forward to seeing his continued dedication and hard work in the years to come.
