If you’ve ever needed to call the Sales department, chances are high that you’ve spoken with Alyson Fields. She’s usually the first person customers speak to in the Sales department—she onboards new customers by providing them with all the relevant information about Evans, and takes calls from potential customers and gathers the necessary information in order to provide them with a Sales proposal. She’s like the gatekeeper of the Sales department—nobody passes through without talking to Alyson first.
Alyson is a mother to two bossy corgis, one chinchilla, an adorable baby girl, and is also married to an “amazing man.” She likes coffee, shopping, and yardwork, and dislikes scary movies and doing laundry. In addition to her onboarding and work with proposals, Alyson works with event planning, and handles the coordination of one-shots.
She feels lucky to have a job she really likes, and to work with a team that works so well together. What she likes most about her position is the opportunity to do event planning. She enjoys being able to plan appreciation luncheons for our CSRs, meet and greets with the dispatch team, and planning the holiday parties, which lets her give back to the Evans Family for all of the hard work they put in.
Alyson finds one of the best parts about working at Evans is the opportunity to learn about the many facets of the supply chain industry. While her position is with the sales team, she’s had the chance to go on ride-alongs with drivers, visit other warehouses, take a HAZMAT training course, as well as sit with the CSRs for a few hours. By having a hands-on experience at Evans, Alyson is able to ask the right questions while working with potential customers, in order to make sure all of our customers are a good fit.
