Employee Spotlight: Steve Schmidt

Steve Schmidt has been an employee at Evans for 9 years, and before that, he was a Planning Manager at Chrysler for 36 years. Steve came to Evans as part of the destress supplier program. Having been married for 39 years, Steve has one son and one daughter. His favorite pastime is painting cars.

As one of the main interfaces between Evans and FCA, Steve is responsible for planning and resolving issues to keep the flow of parts smooth between our warehouse and Chrysler assembly plants.

What he likes most about his job? The day-to-day problem solving. And as far as working for Evans Distribution Systems, Steve enjoys the people and team concept that the company has developed over the years.

Karen Toth adds, “Steve is an integral part of our FCA Team. His dedication is not only to Evans but to his customer.  He came to us after spending a good majority of his life working directly for Chrysler. Our customer relies on Steve to keep them in check and to ensure that our inventories and processes for Chrysler are followed. I cannot even tell you how many times that Steve was the reason why assembly lines kept rolling at Chrysler. We would like to thank him for his dedication and constant attention to our very important customer.”
