Yolanda Mendez is this month’s recipient for the WISE Award. She is a very talented leader, and we are glad to have her as part of the Evans family. Yolanda sat down with Jen Guerra for a brief interview:

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m an easygoing, outgoing person. I am an adapter; I can adapt to anything. I have a son. On my down time, I try to spend time with my son laser tagging, golfing or showing him new things so he’s not on his electronics.
Describe your job here at Evans Distribution Systems.
It’s been a roller coaster, but it’s helped me out to get to the places I’ve been.
What do you like most about your job?
It’s opened my eyes to a lot of possibilities. It keeps me busy, but it’s also a downfall.
What do you like most about working for Evans Distribution Systems?
The people I’ve come across. There’s been a lot that have helped me out and have given me an opportunity such as warehouse experience.

Yolanda is a Talent Leader. Many people want to lead but few can. She’s proven herself over and over again and I’m thankful to have her on my Team. Her ability to do anything under the Value-Added umbrella helps us continue to grow as a team. She deserves this award and much more.
