Evans’ 1st Quarterly of 2020 was held on January 30th at Seaway Arena in Melvindale, MI. The Warehouse Ops. team hosted SmackDown Evans. The team went above and beyond to make the event (seem) legit; they definitely used “in-ring psychology.” The Arena had an inflatable ring that the “wrestlers” competed in and the Ops. team provided each department with perfectly selected entrance music. For example, Pat LaFave’s entrance music was for “The Million Dollar Man” and Shawn Wright’s was for the “Heartbreak Kid.” It was great!
A couple of the wrestlers had “gimmicks.”
- Justin Archibald – The SmackDown Evans Announcer
- Leslie Delekta – Becky “The Man” Lynch
- Rich Huziak – Bray “The Fiend” Wyatt
- Katie Schmidt – Bayley “The Hugger”
- Alyson Fields – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – Seriously; check the tats!
Once wrestlers got into the ring, however, you could definitely tell who was more “green.” Everyone who attended had so much fun and the night was definitely filled with laughter!
After the main event, the Ops. team awarded the Value-Add department the “Evans Distribution Systems Quality Champion” belt. This championship belt will be awarded to a new SBU each quarter. To earn the belt, the SBU must have spent the least amount of money on claims or made the greatest impact on Evans’ quality during the quarter. Shawn accepted the belt on Value Add’s behalf for Q1 2020. Congrats to the Value-Add team!!!
