On February 13, 2020, the Sales and Marketing Team hosted a Valentine’s-Day-themed Blog-A-Thon. They decked out the training room with Valentine decorations. They also provided themed refreshments, such as Two Hearted, Rose, strawberry-lemon spa water, cookies and cupcakes. To go along with the theme, the team gave each attendee a new Evans shirt and the event assimilated a speed-dating style.
How did it work?
Couples would work together to come up with the most blog topics for one of Evans’ service categories (warehousing, transportation, etc.) and then play one game. After time was up, everyone rotated once to the right so that each person would work with a new person. The new couples would, again, work together on topics for a different service category and play a new game. Contestants were given one point for each blog topic they came up with and different point denominations were given for each game. There were 5 rotations and 5 different games – the Newlywed Game, Conversation Heart Scramble, Pictionary, Password, and Buzz Word.
So, who won?
In the end, Karen Lincoln and Nikki Yaklin accumulated the most points and were named Evans’ Blog-A-Thon Champs of 2020.
