Franklin Brown is this month’s recipient for the WISE Award. He is dedicated with an eagerness to learn, and we are glad to have him as part of the Evans family. Franklin sat down with Jen Guerra for a brief interview:

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am an easy-going person. I am a sound engineer for 2 mega churches, Perfecting & Second Ebenezer. I love my bike; I call her Candace. I love music such as Jazz, Gospel, Country, R&B and Teddy Pendergrass.
Describe your job here at Evans Distribution Systems.
I take care of the fleet of trailers and leased tractors and trailers. I help with compliance. I do the many employment verifications for the drivers. I also cover for Tony and Dave.
What do you like most about your job?
The people I work with and the drivers.
What do you like most about working for Evans Distribution Systems?
I love my job and I love the people I work with. From the time I have been with Evans, the company has shown me that they really care about their employees from John W to John A.

Franklin joined our office team a little over a year ago after spending over a decade behind the wheel as a Merchants driver. For most, a transition like this would be difficult at best, but Franklin’s transition was seamless and the biggest compliment I can give is on how well he learned the workings of the inner office and almost immediately was able to make a difference and bring value. Franklin is responsible for our yard management, as well as, overseeing the maintenance of all of our trailers where he works closely with operations to ensure equipment is properly maintained and inspected. Dedicated, willing to always learn something new, and always having the company’s best interest at heart makes Franklin a perfect choice for the WISE award!
