The ability to be vaccinated is based on eligibility guidelines established by the CDC and MDHHS.
The following people are currently eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19:
- Residents or individuals who work in Macomb County and are above the age of 60
- Emergency medical service providers, including medical first responders; those who work on a general floor, the emergency room, or an intensive care unit of a hospital
- Individuals who live or work in any of the following: skilled nursing homes; psychiatric hospitals; homes for the aged; adult foster care; assisted living; home health care.
- Medical workers with direct patient contact who conduct high-risk procedures such as dentists, endoscopy, dialysis, and mortuary workers.
- Medical workers that have direct patient contact, such as those who work in outpatient clinics, urgent cares, ambulatory cares, and home health care facilities.
- Workers with specialized skills critical to the functioning of healthcare systems, such as those who work in a hospital or public health laboratory, pharmacy, and medical waste handlers.
- Frontline essential workers or volunteers in critical infrastructure sectors, including but not limited to police officers and fire fighters; corrections officers, conservation officers; pre-K through high school teachers, child care workers, and support staff; workers in homeless shelters, congregate child care institutions and adult and child protective services; government employees that perform these functions.
- Employees in the food processing and agricultural industries.
New vaccination appointments open weekly on Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m. and close when all available doses have been allocated.
What to bring:
- A photo identification card.
- If applicable, proof of your occupation (a badge, employee identification card, professional license, letter from your employer, etc.)
- A completed COVID-19Â Vaccine Administration Form
- If you are returning for your 2nd Dose, bring your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card.
Please be aware:
- Only the person being vaccinated will be allowed in the building to maintain safe social distancing. Exceptions will be made for a family member or caregiver to accompany someone who needs assistance getting into the building.
- Face masks are required to be worn inside the building.
- Please reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 (such as fever, cough, chills, etc.).
- There is no cost for vaccination and your insurance will not be billed.
