Jesus Ovalle is this month’s recipient for the WISE Award. We are grateful to have him in the Evans family. Jesus sat down with Leslie D for a brief interview:

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’ve been working at Evans since 2016. I started on the liquor and cookie lines at Seaway and then moved to our Fort St. facility to work on the tire project. I am now a hi-lo driver at our Romulus facility. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out at home and spending time with my family and dog.
Describe your job here at Evans Distribution Systems.
I handle the loading and unloading of trucks. This entails pulling/staging the goods according to packing lists and customer specific work instructions. It’s a very active job and there’s never a dull day. I like working with all our customers and exceeding their expectations.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy that every day is a new learning experience when dealing with multiple, unique accounts.
What do you like most about working for Evans Distribution Systems?
I appreciate the opportunities that Evans provides to learn new things and grow as an individual. Most importantly, I enjoy the relationships that I have built over the years and sharing my knowledge and expertise with the up-and-coming talent.
