Updated Quarantine Policy After Close Contact 12/16/21

In an effort to protect Evans employees from COVID variants, we are clarifying our policy for those who have had close contact with someone that is COVID-19 positive. Close contact is defined as being within 6-feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more in a 24-hour period.

If you are fully vaccinated* and you do not have symptoms, a quarantine is not necessary. You are required to:

  • Wear a mask at work per company policy.
  • Monitor yourself for symptoms.
  • Take a PCR test 3-5 days after exposure. Send the results to Human Resources after they are received.

If you have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days and do not have symptoms, a quarantine is not necessary. You are required to:

  • Wear a mask at work per company policy.
  • Monitor yourself for symptoms.

If you are not fully vaccinated* a 10-day quarantine is required.  You are required to:

  • Begin quarantine immediately after close contact has been established.
  • Take a PCR test within the first 24-hours of exposure. Send the results to Human Resources after they have been received.
  • Take another PCR test 5–7 days after exposure. Send the results to Human Resources after they have been received.
  • Return to work on the 11th day after exposure. This date is determined by Human Resources.

* Fully vaccinated is defined as:

  • 2 weeks after a second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines; or
  • 2 weeks after a single dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

The policy for returning to work after isolation due to being COVID-19 positive has not changed.  A doctor’s note is required to return to work.
