What is your team/co-workers at Evans like?
My team at the Enterprise facility is helpful and always willing to lend a hand when I need assistance or have questions.
They’re very welcoming and treat you like you’re a part of the family.
What has been your favorite account or project at Evans?
My favorite account that I worked on was Girl Scouts. I used to be a Girl Scout myself and it was interesting to see the other side of the business. I enjoyed helping an organization that supports girls. Plus, the team I worked with was great!
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
I have learned to be patient and gained more confidence as I take on more responsibility. I started off working with our customer’s clients but now I’m working directly with our customers and handling their shipping and receiving activity. Also, Evans has changed my perspective on how an employer should treat its employees. I’ve only worked here for seven months, and it feels like I’ve worked here for years. Everyone treats you with respect and wants to see you grow. It makes going to work more enjoyable!
What’s the number one thing on your bucket list?
The number one thing on my bucket list is renting an RV and taking 30 days to travel the U.S. and visit as many states as possible. I would take my two kids, sister, and best friend. It would be a lot of fun and I hope to be able to do this one day!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Always go for what you want. Don’t ever be afraid to fail.
What three qualities describe your personality best?
- Goofy – I enjoy laughing and making others laugh.
- Shy – It takes me awhile to warm-up to people.
- Helpful – I always go out of my way to help others without asking for anything in return. It’s my second nature to help people.
Comments from her manager, Pat Bledsoe: “Tanisha came on board at Enterprise in April, and she has been a great addition to the staff. She has played a very integral part of the startup of this building and worked long hours and many to days to ensure success. Thank you for your hard work, Tanisha! You are very deserving of this award.”
