Coming to Work Sick and Current COVID Guidelines

It’s summer, mask mandates have ended and COVID is not the first story in the evening news, but it’s still out there.  The good news is that the latest strain is weaker, but unfortunately it is more contagious.  We need to continue common practices that got us through the pandemic: wash your hands, keep common surfaces clean and social distance.

One of the most important practices that we all must adhere to going forward is not coming to work when you are sick.  If you feel sick, even if you take a home test and get a negative result, you should stay home.

If you test positive for COVID, call Human Resources.  You will have to isolate at home for 5 days.  If your symptoms improve and you are fever free for 24 hours, you can return to work on day 6 with a mask.

If you had close contact with someone who tested positive, you will need to wear a mask for 10 days after the date of exposure.  If you start to experience symptoms, stay home and call Human Resources.

These guidelines are the same if you are fully vaccinated and boosted.  If you are not fully vaccinated or boosted, get caught up and us know to qualify for paid time off.

Protecting each other from any illness is a practice that is here to stay.  Thanks.
