Ricky Robinson began his driving career in 2001, as an over-the-road driver. He visited 42 states in three years. He was also a trainer, where he met a lot of interesting people from all over the country.Eventually, Ricky became tired of life over the road and returned to Michigan. He bought a truck and became local owner-operator. By 2009, it was time for a change. A couple of years into driving as an owner-operator with Alden Logistics Inc., Ricky blew his motor. Without a truck, he had to drive for another owner-operator. As luck would have it, Alden’s Lease Purchase Program presented an opportunity for Ricky to get another truck. As of this year, Ricky’s truck is fully paid for! These days Ricky has steady routes within a 100-mile radius. He usually starts his day at 7 a.m. and can have anywhere from 2 to 6 stops per day, depending on the customer. Most of the time he delivers auto parts to Stellantis. On his days off, Ricky likes to watch movies, spend time with friends, and work out. He’s hoping one day to visit Africa and Hawaii.Congratulations Ricky!
