March 2023 W.I.S.E. Award – Dawn Detroyer

Tell us about your role at Evans.

The role of a Customer Service Representative (CSR) is like the glue of the company. We bring the departments together for the greater good of the customer. We are a little bit of everything wrapped up into one position.

What is your most memorable moment at Evans?

My absolute favorite moment at Evans was the ride along with Percy, one of our drivers. At one point during the day, we stopped at FANUC, which was one of my customers at the time. The ride-along gave me perspective into how connected the departments are and how the company works together as a whole.

Where would we find you outside of work?  

I enjoy being at home and relaxing. I also like bowling as well as riding my bike. 

If you were a collector, what would you collect?   

I like to spend time with my friends and family, so good times and memories are what I like to collect. I also have a slight addiction to Coach purses!

A unique fact about Dawn.
Stacy Irish, a fellow CSR at Fort St., and I have been friends for 26 years. We both left QVS to come to Evans together and start a new adventure.

What’s the best vacation you’ve been on and why?

The best vacation I have been on was a girls trip to Las Vegas with Stacy. We saw Jubilee!, Blue Man Group, and Rodney Carrington. We had free passes to the Rodney Carrington show and we hung out behind the scenes. 

What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is diamond art. It’s relaxing and it’s a beautiful piece of art!

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?

I would start acquiring long-term investments. Next, I would buy my dream home in Michigan with a wrap-around porch so I could enjoy the outdoors. I have always been a Michigan girl at heart, and I want to remain close to my brother. Finally, I would also buy an exotic sports car like a 71’ Plymouth Barracuda in glossy black.
