Describe your role at Evans.
My main role a as an Evans Resource Solutions driver is delivering school materials to Detroit Public Schools. However, I help with special projects throughout the year. For example, I shuttled Floyd products between their facility and Eastern Market during their sale. I also help with FANUC inventory counts and anything else that the team needs assistance with.
What’s one accomplishment at Evans you’re most proud of?
There are actually a few accomplishments that I’m proud of. Throughout my time at Evans, I have learned how to communicate effectively, drive a forklift, and perform inventory and cycle counts. I’ve learned how to properly prepare for the day to get a head start, and the impact it has on my productivity. Last year, I completed a project for Detroit Public Schools and delivered all orders on-time with 100% accuracy. I was very proud of myself!
What are your co-workers at Evans like?
My co-workers at Evans are very friendly, funny, and outgoing. They’re the best people I have ever worked with. They make coming to work enjoyable.
If you could time travel, where is the first place you would go and why?
I would time travel to my great-grandparents’ era in the 1900s. I would like to spend time with them, listen to their stories about life, and experience the simple way of living back then.
If you could swap lives with someone, who would it be and why?
I would not want to swap lives with anyone. I am happy with who I am and where I am in life.
Who is your favorite musician or band, and why?
My favorite band is the Rolling Stones. They do not have one bad song and they put on a great performance. I have seen them twice in my life. One time was in East Lansing in ’88 and the other time was at the Silverdome in ’97. Mick Jagger is so energetic on stage and keeps the crowd satisfied all night long.
