Tell us a bit about yourself:
I like playing video games, shooting hoops, and expressing my creativity through oil painting. I started painting in junior high and pursued advanced art classes from 8th through 12th grade. I am also passionate about singing and playing R&B music on the keyboard and piano.
I am a proud parent of four daughters – ages 5, 20, 21, and 24. My family has a strong military background; my father and all my uncles served in the Army. At one point, I considered a career in the Army. I also have the skills to handle the basic maintenance repairs on my family’s vehicles. My grandfather was a mechanic, and I learned how to replace the brakes, calipers, and alternators, change the oil, etc. I enjoy being able to take care of these things myself.
Describe your job here at Evans Distribution:
My primary role involves operating a forklift, with a focus on handling batteries. I worked with engines and transmissions before transitioning to my current role. The fast-paced setting keeps me engaged, and I love the challenge it presents.
Where would we find you outside of work?
At home with my family.
If you were a collector, what would you collect?
I am an avid collector of comic books, with a special preference for Marvel comics. I also collect Katana swords, which I proudly show off in my home.
What is a unique fact about you?
I enjoy the challenge of problem solving and figuring things out. I have no hesitation when it comes to using Google to find solutions and guidance.
What is your favorite place to eat?
My favorite place to eat is Famous Daves. “The beef brisket is off the chain!”
What is your favorite food?
My favorite meal is a well-done New York Strip steak with greens, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread.
What superpower would you choose for yourself?
If I were to possess a superpower, it would be invulnerability – the ability to be impervious to physical harm. I would like to live a long and healthy life, thriving well into my 90s.
What is something on your “bucket list”?
A relaxing and romantic vacation with my girlfriend. We would love to be able to leave the kids at home and take a break. Another item on my bucket list is winning the lottery to pay for the trip.
