Describe your position at Evans.
I am still learning about my new role and the battery repack operation. It’s been challenging and interesting. But mostly I am watching over the team to make sure they are handling the batteries correctly and safely.
What do you like most about your job?
Lately I have moved around to help launch our new facilities in Brownstown and Highland Park. I like the challenge of being part of the openings and keeping the facility organized.
Where will we find you when you’re not at work or with your family?
You will find me hiking or walking in the park with my daughter. I also enjoy woodworking and fixing up classic cars.
What are your thoughts on the Draft coming to Detroit?
I don’t really have any. I’m more of a Tigers fan than a Lions fan.
If you were a collector, what would you collect?
Classic cars! I have a 1986 blue and silver Ford 150 that needs work.
What’s the last show, event, game, or movie that you attended? What type of music do you listen to?
I listen to Classic Rock and Christian music. Also, I saw Bob Seger’s “final tour” at Pine Knob with my daughter. He’s been “retiring” for a while now.
Any plans for the summer?
It’s hard to say with all of the facility openings that have taken place. But once things calm down, I’d like to go the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. I try to go every year. I’d also like to attend the Grand National F100 Show again. It’s the world’s largest classic Ford Truck show in the country.
Comments from my Manager, Rusty Haworth: “I first met Steve three years ago when his role was order picking for CONROS. Steve was very meticulous in ensuring every order was picked to perfection as well as training new associates in the process. Steve has continued to excel as his skills were utilized throughout Seaway and Brownstown. With Steve’s continued dedication, he has been promoted into a supervisor role. As he has done in the past, he is showing great progress as a leader. He is a great asset to the Evans family.”
Congratulations Steve!
