Describe your position at Evans.
As the Human Resources Clerk, I am responsible for answering phone and in-person inquiries. I also add and update employee information in our systems.
What have you gained from working at Evans?
I have become a better communicator and improved my people skills. I can easily remember names and recognize faces which makes everyone feel important and welcomed.
Also, I have learned new computer programs and have become better at ones I was already familiar with, especially Excel. I can easily get through tasks utilizing new formulas and I’m more comfortable using it in a variety of ways.
What has your experience been with Evans’ culture?
The company culture at Evans is friendly and wonderful. There are many opportunities to grow and everyone that works here wants to help you and watch you succeed.
What are your top three life highlights?
- My favorite soccer team is Barcelona, and I attended their game at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. It was awesome to see them live, and the seats were great!
- I built my dream car: 2004 GT Mustang. I enjoy building cars and adding different parts to update the car’s aesthetics.
- I enjoy traveling and have had the opportunity to travel to California and Mexico. My next trip is to New York – I cannot wait!
Which cartoon character would you most like to switch lives with?
I would most like to switch lives with Rick from Ricky and Morty. He is funny, random and goes on the craziest adventures.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
“Don’t let others define you. Choose your own destiny and never look back.” My mom gave me this advice and I still live by it today.
